Afghan

AFGHAN publicly displays the work of a woman of color (Artist’s mother) that was weaved in private.
The word “Afghan” has been interchangeably used to refer to as a form of craft that we know in the West which originates from Afghanistan as well as nationality.
Marrying the two, this work aims to peacefully show case the relationship between nationality and gender using craft.

In collaboration with Zohreh Pasandi (Artist's Mother)
